Second Opinions:
We are happy to give second opinions at no charge and have found it is often of high value to many patients. We do not “over treat”. That is to say that we do not feel that just because fillings may be old they should be replaced. We do not “find” cavities that are not there. We have found many times that far less treatment needs to be performed than has been advised. And, many times there are other treatments options available that may not have been discussed.

If you would like a second opinion, call us. If at all possible bring any recent X-rays with you ( your x-rays are your property). We cannot properly examine and advise without readable x-rays.

Pain Avoidance:
We use a computer assisted local anesthesia device which is absolutely remarkable. It reduces needle injection pain in a 75% to 100% range. After I give an injection patients will sometimes ask, “what did you just do?”

Treatment of Pain:
Extractions:
We do perform oral surgery in our office and can see you promptly when you are in pain.

Soft tissue infection:
Many patients may have gingival infection or pain around a partially erupted wisdom tooth and require antibiotics followed by extraction of the tooth.

Root canal treatment:
We are able to promptly see patients with pain who wish to save the tooth with endodontic treatment.
